Privacy Policy

1. Overview
SnoreGuard AI ("we", "our", "the app") is designed with privacy as a core architectural principle. We do not record, upload, or share your bedroom audio under any circumstances. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights.
2. Audio processing
SnoreGuard AI accesses your device microphone solely to detect snoring in real time. Audio is:
- Captured in 32 millisecond frames
- Analysed entirely on your device using our on-device AI model
- Discarded immediately after analysis — never written to storage
- Never transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party
We cannot retrieve your bedroom audio because it is never stored or sent anywhere.
3. Sleep data
SnoreGuard AI stores the following locally on your device in a private SQLite database:
- Date and time of sleep sessions
- Number of snore events detected per session
- Sleep quality score (derived metric, not raw audio)
- Session duration
This data is stored only on your device and is never synced to our servers. You can delete all data at any time via Android Settings → Apps → SnoreGuard AI → Storage → Clear Data.
4. Subscription data
If you subscribe to SnoreGuard AI Premium, the subscription is managed entirely through Google Play. SnoreGuard AI only receives a confirmation token from Google Play indicating whether your subscription is active. We do not receive or store your payment information.
5. Analytics and advertising
SnoreGuard AI does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or user-profiling SDKs. We collect no behavioural telemetry from within the app.
6. Permissions

| FOREGROUND_SERVICE | Keeps the detection running while the screen is off. |
| BLUETOOTH_CONNECT | Required on Android 12+ to route audio to Bluetooth headphones for phase-cancellation. |
| POST_NOTIFICATIONS | Shows a notification while the foreground service is running (required by Android). |
7. Data retention and deletion
Sleep session data is retained locally until you delete it. To delete all data: Android Settings → Apps → SnoreGuard AI → Storage → Clear Data. Uninstalling the app also removes all local data.
8. Children
SnoreGuard AI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and post the revised policy on this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
